Face Mask is a Crafting Workbench item which was released on January 23rd, 2014.
Face Mask can be Direct Requested from the Pioneer's Neighbors, who will also receive one. The Pioneer must have the third stage of the Gem Mine build active to request Face Mask, but does not have to have it active in order to return and claim one.
A single Face Mask can be purchased from inside the Gem Mine Respirator Crafting Workbench for 
9 Horseshoes.
